By accessing or using Belastbaar's website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. By using Belastbaar, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Belastbaar provides educational tax calculation tools and resources for the Dutch tax system, including:

• Interactive tax calculators (income tax, VAT, property tax, etc.)
• Tax education resources and articles
• Municipality tax comparison tools
• Personalized tax scenarios and savings

2.1 Educational Purpose

Our services are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional tax advice, financial advice, or legal counsel. You should always consult with a qualified tax professional or the Dutch Tax Authority (Belastingdienst) for official tax advice.

Belastbaar provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations about:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of tax calculations
• The suitability of our services for your specific tax situation
• The availability or uninterrupted operation of our website
• The security or error-free nature of our services

3.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate tax calculations based on current Dutch tax law, we do not guarantee the accuracy of results. Tax laws change frequently, and individual circumstances vary. Always verify calculations with official sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Belastbaar and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Tax penalties, interest, or financial losses resulting from use of our services
• Errors or omissions in tax calculations or educational content

4.1 Maximum Liability

In any event, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to Belastbaar (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

As a user of Belastbaar, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when using our calculators
• Verify all tax calculations with official sources before making financial decisions
• Comply with all applicable Dutch laws and regulations
• Not use our services for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures or disrupt our services
• Not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without permission

All content on Belastbaar, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and calculators, is the property of Belastbaar or its licensors and is protected by Dutch and international copyright laws.

6.1 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Belastbaar for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works from our content
• Reverse engineer or decompile our software or algorithms
• Remove copyright notices or proprietary markings
• Use our services to create a competing product or service

If you create an account with Belastbaar, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

7.1 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

You may not use Belastbaar to:

• Engage in any illegal activities or tax fraud
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Collect or store personal data of other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time
• Update these Terms at our discretion
• Change our pricing or introduce new features

9.1 Notification of Changes

We will notify you of material changes to these Terms by posting a notice on our website or sending an email. Your continued use of Belastbaar after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Belastbaar may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for:

• The content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites
• Any damages or losses arising from your use of third-party services
• The accuracy or reliability of external resources

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Belastbaar shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

11.1 Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us to resolve any disputes amicably. We commit to working in good faith to resolve issues.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Belastbaar, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of our services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Any tax-related decisions you make based on our calculators

Your use of Belastbaar is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR and Dutch law. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the intent of the original.
